Everton have avoided defeat in their first away match of a Premier League campaign for the first time since August 2021 (v Leeds United), prior to this afternoon, the Toffees had lost their last four on the road to start a league campaign. Everton managed five shots on target in the first half, their most in the opening half of a Premier League game since managing six against Tottenham Hotspur in January 2025, whilst the Toffees' non-penalty xG of 1.06 was their most in the first half of a league match since September 2025, when they managed 1.17 v Aston Villa.
