BBC Sport reported earlier this week that Manchester City and Lille were in advanced talks over a deal for Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi to move to Etihad Stadium. An agreement for the 18-year-old to join Enzo Maresca's side is now in place, with Bouaddi set to complete his protracted move to England - Lille accepting an initial fee of £81.4m, plus £4.2m in add-ons. Bouaddi impressed at this summer's World Cup - starting five of Morocco's six matches in their run to the quarter-finals - after a starring role in Lille's Champions League victory over Real Madrid in 2024 announced him on the big stage.
