Brighton sporting director Mike Cave says latest summer signing Promise David is a player the club has been "watching for some time". The 25-year-old joins on a season-long loan from Union Saint-Gilloise, with the deal including an obligation to buy if certain criteria are met. Promise has made 82 appearances for the Belgian Pro League side, scoring 41 goals and providing nine assists, since signing in July 2024.
