Hibernian striker Owen Elding has been called up to Republic of Ireland's senior squad for the first time for Nations League matches against Kosovo, Israel and Austria. The 20-year-old is eligible for England through birth and the Republic through residency, having lived in the country from the age of six. Although Elding was ineligible to play, national head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson nevertheless brought him in to train with the squad as they prepared for May friendlies against Qatar and Canada.
