Elliot Anderson has said Manchester City's domination of club and European football made him join Enzo Maresca's side. The Tyneside-born midfielder began his football career at boyhood club Newcastle United, joining the Magpies at eight years old. The 23-year-old moved to Forest in July 2024 and then earned his England debut in September 2025.
