The Easter Road club ended the 2025/26 season fifth, four points behind Motherwell in fourth, and secured a place in Conference League qualifying thanks to Celtic's Scottish Cup win. Across the city, rivals Hearts topped the table for much of the campaign before narrowly missing out on glory after a final-day defeat to champions Celtic. Hibs fan Harry McArthur, of the Down The Slope podcast, admits a Hearts title win was a "scary" prospect, but expects a very different top flight next term and is backing David Gray's side to have a strong campaign.
