As Liverpool prepare their opening bid for Paris St-Germain's Bradley Barcola, there is "confusion" among Reds fans that they could spend a big chunk of their transfer budget on another forward. PSG value Barcola at about £145m, but Liverpool are hoping to secure the France international's services for closer to £100m. Speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside, Anfield Index Pro's Jim Boardman said: "For one thing, Liverpool's money perhaps needs to be spent on a centre-back."
