Sunderland have revealed their new home kit for the 2026-27 season, which pays tribute to the club's historic 1937 FA Cup final triumph against Preston North End. The special kit combines the Black Cats' iconic red and white stripes with "a subtle jacquard pattern" and a monogram of the letter S "created using the handles of the FA Cup". Sunderland have also commissioned a brand-new mural in Roker, dedicated to Eddie Burbanks, which will complete a trio of murals commemorating the 1937 final goalscorers.
