Expected Newcastle arrival Sean Steur only signed a new contract with Ajax last summer, but the deal expires in 2028. The Dutch club are therefore in a delicate position, because the academy graduate's value is likely to drop when he enters the final year of his contract next summer. The 18-year-old academy graduate made his first-team debut in December, but quickly established himself as a regular, starting in the De Klassieker win over Feyenoord a couple of weeks later.
