The 28-year-old left-back has left La Liga side Rayo Vallecano and penned a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge in a deal worth £16.3m, with a further £1.7m possible in add-ons. Chavarria made 44 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring one goal and contributing three assists, as Rayo Vallecano finished eighth in La Liga and reached the Conference League final.
