Thirty-five years after Neil Cox moved from Scunthorpe United to Aston Villa, the club is still honouring part of the deal – in seats. When Villa agreed a deal to sign defender Cox in 1991, they agreed a £400,000 fee and 2,000 seats for the Iron's ground at Glanford Park. This summer, when Scunthorpe Stadium Manager Julie Taylor saw Villa revamping their North Stand and lower seating of the Trinity Stand, she asked whether any of the seats could be used to replace those at Glanford Park.
