Former Chelsea and Everton winger Pat Nevin says Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister "said exactly the right things" when telling media that he is "very sad" not to have been offered a new deal by the club. The Argentine, who joined on a five-year contract from Brighton in June 2023, saw team-mates Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch extend their Reds deals this year. "I often hear various players saying things and pushing things a certain way and you get a bit fed up with it," Nevin told BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast.
