Cardiff City will kick off the 2026-27 season with a home tie against League Two Swindon Town in the first round of the Carabao Cup. The match will be a repeat of last year's first-round meeting of the clubs in the same competition, which Cardiff won 2-1 thanks to goals from Cian Ashford and Rubin Colwill.
