Aberdeen have signed German goalkeeper Daniel Klein on a two-year contract. The 25-year-old was a free agent after leaving Bundesliga side Augsburg this summer and will provide cover and competition for current number one Marius Muller and fellow goalkeeper Nick Suman. The 27-year-old Jota suffered a cruciate ligament injury in April 2025 but returned to training last month, with assistant manager Shaun Maloney stressing "he's still a matter of weeks" away from a return.
