"With Grealish, I think his leadership comes in a slightly different way than that of a James Tarkowski or a Seamus Coleman," Thomas told BBC Radio Merseyside's Giulia Bould.
Hull City owner Acun Ilicali says he currently "cannot say yes or no" as to whether Joe Gelhardt will return to the Tigers in the Premier League.
