Real Madrid suffer, but secure a big 2-1 win over Inter in their 2026-27 UCL debut
Real Madrid were able to start their 2026-27 UEFA Champions League season with a victory over Inter in a very intense match. The 2026–27 UEFA Champions League is officially underway. On Matchday 1 of the league phase, Real Madrid hosted Inter in a game that was very exciting from the start to the end. Real Madrid took advantage of two key mistakes Inter had in the first half to put themselves with a comfortable 2-0 advantage at halftime. Kylian Mbappe and Federico Valverde scored for the Merengues in what seemed an easy win for them. Nevertheless, Inter pushed all the second half to get closer in the score. Carlos Augusto was able to score the 2-1 in the second half, but it was too late and was not enough to even get the draw at Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
