Brazilian midfielder Guimaraes was unveiled to Arsenal fans at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday following his move from Newcastle United. Guimaraes became Mikel Arteta’s third signing of the summer following Greek winger Christos Tzolis and French goalkeeper Illan Meslier. Arsenal were also hoping to welcome Vinicius Junior to north London in one of the biggest transfers in Premier League history but the Brazil icon ended up signing a new contract with Real Madrid. Arteta remains interested in signing another winger, however, and have been linked with Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford since missing out on Vinicius. Liverpool have identified Barcola, 23, as their top target this summer and are reportedly ready to pay £100m for the Frenchman, although PSG are holding out for an offer closer to £150m. The Belgian has made the switch to the Turkish Super Lig in a deal worth an initial £15.3million and another potential £1.7m in add-ons. The 31-year-old becomes one of the star names in the Besiktas squad but they are hoping to add another high profile star this summer. Turkish publication Fanatik report that Besiktas have approached Arsenal over a deal to sign striker Gabriel Jesus. There have been some significant departures, with Mateus Fernandes going to Spurs for £85 million, Crysencio Summerville heading to Al Hilal for £55m and Freddie Potts joining Club Brugge in a £10.2m deal. Callum Wilson also departed on a free transfer and gets another crack at the Premier League by joining Brentford. The Belgian has made the switch to the Turkish Super Lig in a deal worth an initial £15.3million and another potential £1.7m in add-ons. The 31-year-old becomes one of the star names in the Besiktas squad but they are hoping to add another high profile star this summer. Turkish publication Fanatik report that Besiktas have approached Arsenal over a deal to sign striker Gabriel Jesus. The Hammers were relegated from the top flight last season but have stuck with manager Nuno Espirito Santo, after finishing the campaign on 39 points. There have been some significant departures, with Mateus Fernandes going to Spurs for £85 million, Crysencio Summerville heading to Al Hilal for £55m and Freddie Potts joining Club Brugge in a £10.2m deal. Callum Wilson also departed on a free transfer and gets another crack at the Premier League by joining Brentford.
