The Argentina international has been considering a move away from Stamford Bridge with doubts over long-term future first emerging back in March. Former Chelsea boss Maresca, who replaced Pep Guardiola in the City hotseat this summer, is thought to be keen on a reunion with his former midfielder. Chelsea have set a deadline of 5pm (BST) this evening for offers to be tabled, standing firm on their £120million valuation.
