Brazilian midfielder Guimaraes was unveiled to Arsenal fans at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday following his £75m move from Newcastle United. Mikel Arteta identified Guimaraes as his top midfield target earlier in the summer and Arsenal finally made a breakthrough after weeks of negotiations with Newcastle. Scholes has never been blown away by Guimaraes but insists he could ‘make Arsenal a better football team’ as they attempt to retain the Premier League trophy.
