Coventry City defender Bobby Thomas says the performance in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Manchester City is "a great starting point" for the Sky Blues to build on. Frank Lampard's newly promoted side delivered their best performance so far this season, after Premier League losses at Arsenal and at home to Hull City, but are still searching for their first point of the campaign. "We approached the game differently and had a better gameplan," Thomas told BBC CWR.
After Hull City's 0-0 draw against Aston Villa, Regan Slater thanked the club's owner and chairman Acun Ilicali for sticking to his word and ensuring he was offered a new contract. Slater's new deal commits him to the club until the summer of 2029.
