Scotland midfielder Maria McAneny has signed a two-year contract extension with Celtic, keeping her at the club until summer 2028. The 21-year-old academy graduate has made over 100 appearances and scored 13 goals and recorded five assists last term for the Scottish Cup winners. McAneny earned a place in the Guinness World Records with her halfway-line strike against Hibernian last December, which was officially recognised as the fastest goal ever in women's professional football at 4.1 seconds.
