Manager remains calm despite his side taking one point and scoring no goals in opening three Premier League gamesUnai Emery is not panicking. He may kick every ball on the touchline but, behind closed doors, Aston Villa’s players are used to him being the calmest person in the room, routinely more demanding after victory than defeat. John McGinn tells a story in which the Villa manager, early in his now almost four-year tenure, broke character and lost his cool during a half-time interval not owing to a lukewarm performance but because he witnessed his captain tearing into teammates. In Emery’s eyes, it was McGinn expending unnecessary energy rather than seeking solutions.Emery, McGinn and Villa have been here before. Former Rangers star Cammy Bell has insisted that the need for Kevin Kelsy to cover for Lawrence Shankland's absence is not ideal for the Gers. The post ‘Will Have To Step Up’ – Rangers New Boy Warned By Former Ger appeared first on Inside Futbol | Latest Football News, Transfer Rumours & Articles.
Former Rangers goalkeeper Cammy Bell says the club's big-money signing Kevin Kelsy must step up in Lawrence Shankland's absence. Scotland striker Shankland went off in the early stages of Saturday's 1-0 win over Motherwell, with manager Derek McInnes later saying it appears to be a "significant" hamstring injury. Shankland was replaced by Ryan Naderi, who scored Rangers' winner against the Steelmen, but Bell believes it will be Kelsy - signed from Portland Timbers on deadline day for a reported fee of £9m - who McInnes trusts to lead the line.
