Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola has been speaking to the media before Saturday's Premier League game against Fulham at Anfield (kick-off 15:00 BST). Bradley Barcola, who was forced off during Liverpool's 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League with cramp, "should be available" for Saturday's match. Iraola confirmed the team will train on Friday afternoon and then they will assess whether Cody Gakpo "is ready" to face Fulham, or if they "need to wait" until Tottenham on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup.
Ipswich Town legend John Wark has backed goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen to keep his place against Crystal Palace despite a difficult start in the defeat by Liverpool. Scherpen was arguably at fault for both of Liverpool's opening goals as Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak combined to put the Reds 2-0 ahead inside the opening nine minutes.
