Manchester City spent a Premier League record £458m in the summer transfer window to complete a rapid rebuild of the squad. The midfield trio of Enzo Fernandez, Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi have been brought in to the tune of more than £300m, replacing the departed Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders and Nico Gonzalez. Goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli says joining Manchester City was an opportunity he "had to grasp" after his move to the club was confirmed, subject to international clearance.
