England beat New Zealand 1-0 with a goal by Harry Kane. Some friendly matches feature a major team facing a huge challenge and a smaller side with most of its players on vacation, but that was not the case here, as both England and New Zealand are ready for the World Cup, with England winning 1-0 thanks to Harry Kane‘s goal. The match featured the usual rotations from both teams, with many substitutions, especially from England, who lined up an entirely different side in the second half. As expected, it was a slow-paced match. In the first half, England tried too many times from outside the box without much precision, failing to trouble the goalkeeper until Spence cut back on the left and sent in a cross with his right foot that Kane slightly redirected into the net in the final minute of the half. There was not much happening in the second half, with England threatening through the wings but without much danger.
