Tom Heaton has extended his Manchester United contract for a further year and says he can "feel the determination and ambition of everyone throughout the club to keep pushing for success". The club said Heaton, who will enter 21st season in professional football, will continue "playing an important leadership role in the dressing room". Heaton, 40, came through the ranks at United but returned to the club after over a decade elsewhere in 2021.
