St Mirren manager Craig McLeish wants to see a homegrown player quota introduced to Scottish football. The suggestion comes as the Scottish Football Association prepare to host discussions in St Andrews, which all 42 league clubs have been invited to attend, aimed at improving the prospects for homegrown talent in Scotland. McLeish, who worked in St Mirren's academy and with the SFA as a development coach before taking on his role as Buddies boss, insists more youth involvement at club level will help the national team and improve the Scottish game overall.
It shows where we are at that we are disappointed coming away from Elland Road with a draw. Brentford have never lost a Premier League game when Kevin Schade has found the back of the net. Brentford had 22 attempts on goal in today's game, their joint-most in a Premier League away game (also 22 v West Ham in October 2025).
Brentford boss Keith Andrews has been speaking to the media before Sunday's Premier League game against Leeds United at Elland Road (kick-off 14:00 BST). New defender El Hadji Malick Diouf is a "very good player". Before we signed Malick I said we could play Keano in different positions throughout the season.
