But frustration cannot excuse everything. These incidents, even if they can happen in any dressing room, are not worthy of Real Madrid. Valverde was diagnosed with cranioencephalic trauma, a head injury, and is out for the next two weeks. However, he said that his injury was caused by him hitting a table, and, ‘At no point did my teammate hit me, I didn’t hit him either.’ Statement Madrid announced that they had opened disciplinary proceedings against the players, and have now given them financial penalties. A statement read: “Real Madrid C. F. announces that, following the events that led to the disciplinary proceedings initiated yesterday against our players Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni, both appeared today before the investigator assigned to the case. “During their appearance, the players expressed their complete remorse for what happened and apologized to each other. “Furthermore, they extended their apologies to the club, their teammates, the coaching staff, and the fans, and both have made themselves available to Real Madrid to accept whatever sanction the club deems appropriate. “Under these circumstances, Real Madrid has decided to impose a financial penalty of €500,000 fines [£432k] on each player, thereby concluding the corresponding internal procedures.” Valverde and Tchouameni have been handed fines for the incidentGetty What is going on at Madrid?
