‘Great addition’ – Noni Madueke praises Arsenal signing after playing role in £55m transfer

England defender Konsa was unveiled to Arsenal fans at the Emirates Stadium last week after completing a £55m move from Aston Villa. Konsa, 28, who was part of Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad, put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Arsenal. Madueke believes Konsa will prove to be a ‘great addition’ for Arsenal and has revealed the part he played in the transfer deal. ‘Ezri is a great friend of mine first and foremost,’ Madueke told Arsenal’s official website. ‘We’ve played with each other for England now for a couple of years. ‘I’m delighted that he’s here, he’s a great player and I know he’s going to be a great addition, not only to the team but around the building.
